Slot and interface shell materials: On the outside of the motherboard slot and interface, a layer of engineering plastic is usually wrapped. This plastic has good insulation properties and can prevent short circuits between different pins. At the same time, engineering plastics also have a certain mechanical strength and can protect the internal metal parts from physical damage. For example, the plastic shell outside the memory slot can prevent the internal metal pins of the memory stick from being damaged due to excessive external force during the insertion and removal process.
